In this video we explore Selections and Layers. This is geared towards beginners who have at least some knowledge of the various selection tools in Photoshop Elements. You can download the exercise files below and follow along. I hope you find it instructive!
THis is sort of a continuation of the previous tutorial, but not really. We use a different image, but the techniques are very similar, so you could start with this one and then go on to “Part 1” if you we so inclined.
In Part 2, I showed a relatively easy way to create the final image to the right, though not as good as the this. However, it was not the BEST way to do it. This time, we do the same exercise, but by leveraging the awesome power of Layers, Layers Masks, and Blending Modes, we get a higher quality result, which you see at right.
