This video is the first in a series on how to create this image in Photoshop Elements 9 and above. If you don’t have PSE 9 forget it, because this tutorial relies heavily on the power of Image Layer Masks; which only became available in PSE 9.

I have provided a link for each of the files used in this video below. the files are in the native .PSD format, which is the native Elements format. The files are rather large, at 6mb and 7mb respectively. If you don’t have a high-speed connection (cable, FIOS or DSL), it will be a long download. However, if you don’t have a high-speed connection, you won’t be able to watch the tutorial anyway!

As usual, you can either view the tutorial from this page by simply clicking on the “play” button, or download a larger Quicktime version for viewing on your machine. The video is a bit long at roughly 37 minutes, but I cover a lot of ground. Because of this, you may find it easier to just bite the bullet and download the Quicktime version so you can view it at your leisure without having to be
