Public Beta Download

This is just a short post to let y’all know you can download a copy of Photoshop CS6 here. There are some significant interface improvements changes. OK, I’m being snarky again. I haven’t played with it enough yet to form a real opinion. I welcome change, but not for the sake of change…..nor for the sake of enriching Adobe. I’m on the fence right now. I’m not convinced it is worth the “upgrade’ price. However, since I use Lightroom 4 A LOT, I will probably jump in so I can maintain the Smart Object functionality between LR4 and PS. Well played Adobe, ya got me.

the other cool thing is that over at Lynda.com you can watch a 2 and a half hour video course on all of the new features in CS6 by the amazing Deke McClelland, for FREE! I no of no other human being who knows more about Photoshop from a user perspective than Deke. The guy is so thorough it’s scary. Plus, he’s sorta funny too. At any rate, you’ll get THE most comprehensive first look at CS6 available anywhere. Did I mention it’s free? Is Deke trying to sell us on upgrading? Of course he is. The guy makes a living as an instructor. Regardless, he is very good, and like I said knows the ins and outs of the program like no other.
